We lean into contact and improvisation—lifting ourselves, lifting each other, tossing out the old rulebook of what dance should be. We shake off the forces that hold us back. This space is for beginners, the curious, and anyone who wants to explore fresh, playful ways into connection, dance, and Contact Improvisation. We'll play with how we enter, exit, and slip back into contact. We'll track our personal space like curious explorers—feeling into boundaries, needs, sparks of “ooh, what’s that?” in connection with others. We’ll practice speaking up, acting out (in the best way), saying no (and YES!), honoring consent, and opening the floodgates to optionsoptionsoptions—in solo, in duets, in fluid constellations of moving bodies. We explore body and space. We improvise with forces. We fall, lean on each other, share, and play. We dance.
