Looking for a low-pressure way to meet people, make friends, and do something genuinely fun on a winter evening? Board Game Night at Villa Vida CafĂ© is a relaxed, welcoming group hangout where games do the ice-breaking for you. The event takes place on Saturday, February 7th, 2025, from 18:00â21:00 at Villa Vida CafĂ© in Vienna. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome. What kind of evening is this? This is a casual board game evening, not a tournament and not a competition-heavy space. You can bring your own board or card games, or choose from Villa Vida CafĂ©âs in-house game collection. There will be different tables playing different games throughout the evening, and youâre free to move around, join a table, or start a new game if you like. A host will be present to welcome people, help everyone settle in, and support the flow of the evening. If you arrive alone or feel unsure where to sit, the host can help connect you with a game or a group. If there is no event scheduled after Game Night, youâre welcome to stay longer than 21:00 and keep playing. Thereâs no rush â you can take your time and enjoy the evening at your own pace. Language & Accessibility People are welcome to speak any language they feel comfortable with at their table, as long as everyone agrees. Villa Vida CafĂ© is fully wheelchair accessible, including an accessible toilet. The space is warm, community-oriented, and designed to feel easy to enter, even if youâre coming alone. How to join Free entry No registration required â just show up Come for the whole evening or just part of it Whether youâre there to play, watch, chat, or gently meet new people, Board Game Night is about shared fun and low-stakes connection. Who is this for? Everyone. This event is open to all people regardless of identity, background, or experience with board games. You donât need to be âgood at games,â know the rules in advance, or come with friends. Board games are a shared activity, which makes this night especially great for people who are shy, new to social spaces, or looking to make friends without awkward small talk. The games give you something to do together, which makes conversation flow naturally.
