Love and compassion – for yourself and for others. Beyond romance, love is the foundation of how we relate – to friends, family, and our own inner voice. Many of us show care for others but struggle to extend the same kindness toward ourselves. This workshop combines gentle yoga, breathing, and neuroscience, introspection, pair- and group activities to explore how compassion transforms our inner dialogue and relationships. It also explores the science of love and compassion, guiding participants through practices that nurture self-acceptance, empathy, and deeper, healthier connections within the community. You’ll explore: The basics of (neuro)science behind love and compassion. How to apply non-violent communication with ourselves – replacing judgment with acceptance. How to practice gentle conscious movement and breathwork for emotional balance and self-care. Mantras like “I suffer, please help” and “I know you suffer, I’m here for you” to foster mutual care and love (including journalling) Join us to nurture self-love and build bridges of kindness in the community. Please bring paper and a pen. Cash donation is appreciated. Pause. Sense. Breathe. Return to yourself. In a world of speed, multitasking, and constant stimulation, true presence becomes a rare and powerful skill. This interactive workshop offers a space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and understand how mindfulness and meditation transforms your brain, your communication, and your moment-to-moment experience. Through a blend of neuroscience, mindfulness tools, introspection, pair- and group activities, we explore how the brain, body, and nervous system shape the way we feel, interact, and respond. You’ll learn how posture, breath, emotional signals, and internal narratives influence communication – and how mindful presence can shift everything. You’ll explore: The neuroscience of mindfulness, meditation and self-awareness. How feelings, needs, and body sensations shape your relationships. How to meet difficult emotions with curiosity and compassion. How to practice RAIN as a gentle, structured process. How Metta meditation softens the heart and supports resilience. How body language influences communication and nervous system safety. How breath and movements bring you back into the present moment. Ideal for anyone wanting to live and communicate with more clarity, intention, and authenticity – in body, mind, and heart. Please bring paper and a pen. Cash donation is appreciated. The Mindful BAse x Villa Vida Where science meets mindfulness – for awareness, connection, and community. At The Mindful BAse, we believe that mindfulness is not only a personal practice, but also a powerful way to strengthen relationships, communities, and our connection with our environment. Founded in Vienna in 2025, our mission is simple: to bring people together, foster well-being, and cultivate a community rooted in awareness, kindness, compassion and respect. Through our collaboration with Villa Vida, we are excited to present a series of science-based mindfulness workshops designed to encourage meaningful dialogue, nurture learning and reflection for supporting the local queer community. We create spaces where ancient practices meet modern insights, offering sessions that combine yoga, meditation, neuroscience, communication tools in a safe, inclusive and inspiring space. Each workshop invites you to slow down, connect, and learn practical ways to care for yourself and others – grounded in both science and lived experience. 🌈 All identities, bodies, and levels of experience are welcome. https://themindfulbase.com https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-mindful-base https://www.instagram.com/the_mindful_base
